Messy Church

Messy  Church at St Andrew’s.

Messy church is for all who wish to come along; we set up an event based around a theme.

We have held two sessions of Messy Church, one back in September and our latest in January. Each Messy event was well supported with numbers increasing from our first to second event.

Our 2nd Messy event was based around the journey of the Three Wise Men, crafting for this included crown making, card making and icing of gingerbread camels. We then sang and made music with crafted shakers and drums. This led into a grand “Star Trek” around the Kenn Centre and all was rounded off with a high tea.

In February the Diocese’ Children’s Worker, Katherine Lyddon came and gave an inspiring training session around the aims of Messy Church. She gave us a good understanding of where the Messy Church movement has started from and ideas on how we can build our Messy Church from here.

Date for  the next Messy Church is June 15th, 4pm to 5.30pm, at The Kenn Centre.
