Mothering Sunday
(March 23, 2017)On Sunday we will be thinking about Mothers. I am always keen that dads should give thanks for the mother's of their children.
It is a family festival. people will be buying presents, paying for meals out, celebrating, spending money. Let's not forget the mothers who may have to watch their children starve to death, or die of preventable diseases, or be sold into slavery or prostitution.
Why not send a £10 note, or even a £5 to one of the many excellent charities that support mothers and children, which means practically all of them.
Two weeks after Mothering Sunday we will be thinking of Mary at the Cross, with the dead body of her son in her arms.
