Village Quiz Flushed with Success

(October 17, 2013)

Now into it’s fifth year, the village quiz  assisted in raising much needed funds (just over £500) for St Andrew’s Church Kenn towards the provision of a toilet facility.

Seventeen teams were in attendance at the Kenn Centre on Friday 11th October. Eight rounds of questions had been composed by our dastardly quiz master, John Wood. This year, to give everyone a sporting chance, in certain rounds it was multiple choice. Scoring was close and high with only single marks separating the first 10 teams. Noah’s Ark floated to the top beating the Musical Mafia into second place by a mere one point.

The atmosphere in the hall was jovial and good natured all, expertly managed by our MC, Kelvin Boot, keeping control as only he can.

At half time, the usual rush for hot pasties occurred, with some going back for seconds!

Congratulations to our winning team, and thanks  to the organisers (John, Shirley, Peter, Jo and Kelvin) and those that came along to pit their wits against the opposing teams.

Rumour has it that teams are already being secured for next year’s event.
