"In every country village it is the old Parish Church around which the history of the Parish centres. It is the object of interest, of antiquity and affection. Its records contain the account of the names and deeds of those who lived and worked in the same place where we now live." Extract from "Kenn, Our Home 1886-1910" by Frank W. Vining Rector 1910

Welcome to the Parish Church of St. Andrew, Kenn.  Our beautiful church dates back to the twelfth century, while our churchyard has been a site for worship for much longer.  Our ancient yew tree is one of the oldest in England and along with our church, has absorbed the prayers of its congregation over the centuries.  Both the church and its surrounding area continue to be a special and calming place to worship, rest and reflect in the modern age.

The church plays a significant role in the community life of the Kenn Parish, and warmly welcomes everyone into its fellowship.  Why not join us in regular workship at one of our services, or join one of our social activities that are enjoyed by many in the local community.

St Andrew’s is situated in the village of Kenn and serves Kenn, Kennford and Clapham.  With St Martin’s Exminster, All Saints Kenton and St Clement’s Powderham it is part of a United Benefice.

We warmly welcome our new vicar to the parish

We recently welcomed our new vicar Sue Astbury to St Andrew's Church.  During the service members of the congregation led the prayers for the new ministry.

Sue was presented with a statue of St Andrew, a bible to guide our worship, a map of our parish and keys to our holy place, the church.

In this photo, Sue is joined by our church wardens, Maureen and Simon.
