I bumped into some of the church gang in the Ley the other day. I wanted to know a bit about these Lent '18 sessions that everyone is going to. Apparently the first is on Wednesday 21st in Church at 7.30.  They were all very excited because a chap called Barry Dugmore is coming to speak.  He preached at St Andrew's last November and they are all agog to hear him again. He's speaking on the theme "Why Jesus?".  I said I thought the answer was obvious. Big mistake! They stared to explain about Jesus being "Merciful redeemer, friend and brother..."  The only way I could quell their enthusiasm was to promise that I'd come along.  See you all there...Wed 21st at 7.30
