A Sparkling Christmas Fayre

(November 25, 2013)

Saturday 23rd of November proved to be a very busy morning in the Kenn Centre. The hive of activity commenced at 8am with the set up. Thanks to all of those who left their nice warm beds on what was a very chilly morning. The weather was a complete contrast to the weather last year. We were all much relieved not to be facing the rain and flooding of 12 months ago.

The Christmas Fayre opened at 10 o’clock. The hall was soon full of families and folk from the village and afar all looking for those Christmas treats and trinkets from the many and varied stalls that filled the hall. It was satisfying to see so many people there. The stall holders all had happy faces at the end of the morning.

When all of the figures were totted up we had reached the magic figure of £1000 which has been donated to the Philippines disaster fund. Thanks to everyone who made this event possible and for supporting. See you next year
